Read with us there July 1, 7 pm and stay for a craft with the Ranger

Join us Wednesday, July 1 at 7 for a family-friendly guided (~0.25 mile) hike along the storybook trail at Fox Nature Preserve with the Oak Harbor Public Library. In honor of America250, we will be reading "Beauty and the Beak" by Deborah Lee Rose and Jane Veltkamp. The book contains a true story about an eagle named Beauty who was rescued and rehabilitated with a 3D printed beak!
Storybook trails like this one bring reading and nature together and are a fun way to get outside with the kids! Meet at the Fox Unit parking lot (1/4 mile south of Route 2 on Lickert-Harder Rd).

The Library, along with the Ottawa NWR, is hosting a Wild Pages story walk challenge. It begins on June 1 and goes through the end of August. Handouts with questions can be picked up at either the Library or the Refuge.

Visit the story walk, read the book, and answer the questions. Completed handouts can be returned to either the Library or the Refuge to receive a prize.
