Generally, the Oak Harbor Public Library Local History & Museum Center is accessible to researchers at any time during the library's operating hours. The room, however, is not staffed; therefore, it is locked when not in use. Library staff are happy to assist researchers in the use of the room's resources but are not able to perform any extensive research. Microfilm of local newspapers is also available for public use and is located on the main floor of the library. Mr. John Liske, a volunteer curator for the Center is usually in on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mr.

Who is eligible?
- Any resident of the Benton-Carroll-Salem School District who is unable to visit the building due to a temporary or permanent medical condition or circumstance that may qualify for home delivery.
- There is no age restriction to qualify for this service.
